Prophetic Art Workshops

Prophetic art is art that reveals the Father's heart and speaks to, and touches, the heart, mind and spirits of the people who view it. It is a specific word from the Lord to a specific person, group or community, not just vague inspiration; the prophetic person knows the message they are to convey and conveys it using art as their medium of expression.

In my one-day workshops you will…

• Create art in an atmosphere of joy-filled worship and surrender.

My workshops are suitable for any skill level. Our two current workshops are as follows…

Foundations in Prophetic Art – 25th January, 2020

10am – 3:00pm

In this one-day workshop you’ll learn the basics of prophetic art – what it is, how to receive revelation, and how to turn the revelation you receive into a picture that communicates God’s heart for the person you wish to communicate with.

This workshop will focus on the basic ability to be able to draw simple prophetic art pieces that encourage and empower people because they share God’s heart with them. We will be using paper, pencil, coloured pencils and felt pens for this workshop. You will go home not only with prophetic art done by you to give to someone, but you’ll also receive prophetic words shared over your life in art form.

Materials

We will provide – paper, pencils, coloured pencils, felt pens. We will not be painting in this workshop.

If you have pencils and coloured pencils that you prefer to work with then by all means bring them.

Prophetic Painting Workshop – 15th February, 2020

9:30am – 4:00pm

In this one-day workshop on painting prophetically you’ll learn some foundational basics of creating prophetic art and a few essentials about composition, colour choices and colour meanings. You'll learn how to turn a prophetic word into a piece of art that speaks to the person or group it's intended for and releases the Lord's love and power. If you need basic prophetic foundations then I suggest you attend the Foundations class first.

Between the time you book and the workshop date please begin to ask the Lord to give you a prophetic word to paint so that you are not left trying to find inspiration on the day. Then either prepare small line sketches of the painting ideas or write down the ideas in a notebook to bring with you.

Materials

You will need to bring your own materials; you will need… 

• Canvases – Please bring a couple of canvases no larger than 16x20 inches (40x51cm)

• Assorted paintbrushes from ¼ inch to 1x½ inches.

• 2B Pencil and rubber.

• Sketch pad or unlined notebook for drawing ideas and taking notes.

• Acrylic paints – colours as wanted.

• Palette – a white dinner plate – ceramic or plastic.

• Paper towels.

• 2 Jars or large yoghurt containers for water (we won’t have enough for everyone).

• Easel – please bring a portable or table easel to stand your canvases on. Adjustable, portable metal easels can be bought cheaply through the Trade Me website.

• Pictures, fabrics etc for mixed media if you desire.

She has ministered in her prophetic calling for over 40 years and has done prophetic art for more than 20 years.
